Harassment Is:
Behaviors that intimidate, interfere with a person’s performance or create a hostile or offensive atmosphere.

- Verbal
- Physical
- Visual
And Are Based On…
- A persons disability
- Marital Status
- Nationality or religion
- Gender or sexual orientation
Sexual Harassment Is:
Unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that interferes with a person’s ability to learn, study, work achieve or participate in school activities.
Behaviors May Be…
- Name calling and insults
- Off-color jokes or displaying sexually suggestive objects or pictures
- Unwanted touching
- Pressure for sexual activity
- Sexual assault or rape
- Making a student’s participation in sexual conduct a condition of taking part in school activities or getting an education
Bullying Is:
An intentional or aggressive act undertaken to cause a negative consequence for the target. Bullying involves an imbalance of power between the target and the bully.
If you or someone you know is being harassed or bullied it is important that you report it immediately. Hopkinton High School employs a Harassment and Bully Free School Policy and has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or bullying of any kind.
