Minutes for June 2, 2005

President Julie Morris called the meeting to order at 6:30.  Also in attendance were, Michelle Benson, Sally Turcotte, Colleen Symonds, Kathy Donohoe, Mike Bessette and Bill Carozza.

Motion made by Kathy Donohoe to approve May 19, 2005 minutes.  Second by Mike Bessette.  Passed

Budget:
No changes to the budget from last month.

Funding Requests:
Request from the 3rd grade for $500.00 for reading curriculum.  Motion made by Sally Turcotte for $500.00.  Second by Michelle Benson.  Passed

Request from Maple Street School for money to help purchase 25 books that have been nominated for the Great Stone Face Book Award.  Motion made by Kathy Donohoe for 391.29.  Second by Sally Turcotte.  Passed.

New Board Members:
Michelle Benson nominates Joyce Rose for new PTA Treasurer.  Second by Mike Bessette.  Passed.

Spring Bike Helmet Sale:
Bike helmets are in and have been distributed to schools.

Back to School Socials:
The PTA would like to sponsor a kindergarten parent social time at HMS on the first day of school.  

The K-3 ice cream socials will be held at Beech Hill Farm in August.

The 4th grade will be combining their ice cream social and curriculum night.  This will be held after school begins.
