Minutes for February 2, 2006

Present: Julie Morris, Kathy Donohoe, Joyce Rose, Bill Carozza, Sally Turcotte, Vickie Baronas, Tammy Ehrmanntraut, Maureen Houx, Nancy Skarmeas

January 5, 2006 minutes were approved.

Funding Requests:

Request for $250 for books and art supplies for integrated program for the 3^rd grade.

Motion to approve made by Vickie. Second by Kathy. Passed.

Other:

Julie noted that the positions of Vice President and Secretary will be open next year. We do have one person who interested in the secretary position. Secretary is a 2 year term. VP is a one or two year term (not certain at this point) and VP will become President.

There was a question regarding the obligation of the guidance counselors to divulge information to parents. There was no clear cut answer. It was suggested that the parent talk directly to the counselor.

There was a question about the number of kindergarten and first grade classes next year. Bill said that there are 4 classes for each in the budget right now. But budget hearings are still taking place and the budget will be voted on at the District meeting in March.
