Maple Street School Grade Four Teacher Bridget Christie is struck by the effects of the Vortex Cannon, a device used to display the movement of waves through the air. The Vortex Cannon was part of a presentation by Michael Alberici in his program, "Sound in Focus" which he has shared with New Hampshire Schools as a function of his Christa McAuliffe Award winning sabbatical visitations he has made.

2018 Olympic Skeleton Team hopeful member Kyle Brown takes some time from his busy life of training to talk with MSS fourth graders. Kyle is a from Concord NH and graduated from Springfield College. He is on the USA Skeleton Team as the number 3 slider and is ranked 30th in the world. During his visit to MSS, he spoke to the fourth graders about how he found the winter Olympic sport of skeleton and has developed and worked on the Habits of Mind curriculum in his own life. MAPLE STREET SCHOOL TAKES NH LOUDNESS RECORD! Loudness Champs for 2015 Today the Maple Street School in Hopkinton broke the loudness record set by the DJ Bakie school just last week. Bakie shattered the previous record (98dB) with an ear spliting 100! Today, on their third and final attempt the 4-6th graders at Maple Street produced whopping 101dB.
