Find the latitude and longitude of your home-/driveway… best is front yard location, but if you have a gps in your car, take the “reading” from the driveway.  Write it down in your notebook.

GPS- in decimal degrees.

Use GoogleEArth if you have to- but we REALLY want you to use a GPS unit to get an accurate DECIMAL DEGREES lat long.

You can set GoogleEarth Options / Tools to display in Decimal degrees.  Try doing that.

Don’t forget, the longitude is a NEGATIVE number here in New Hampshire.  “Negative 71 point something”…

 

Find your electric meter on your home.  Write down the numbers exactly as they appear, in your notebook.  Note the date and time.  Revisit the electric meter 24 hours later.  Write down the numbers exactly as they appear.
