1. Describe the trip to Odiorne Point.

On June 19, the whole 7th grade will be going to Odiorne Point. I can't wait to see and hold starfish, or tuch other sea animals. I want to see the little crabs and pick them up. I also can't wait to go in the tidal pools and see what animals are in them. I also want to see the difference between the barnacles. I also want to see the different types and colors of the fish, starfish and everything out there. I also want to see some lobsters!

2. Name and describe the 4 tidal zones at Odiorne Point. Mention what is found in each zone.

Black Zone - The Black Zone is called that because all the rocks in that zone are covered with black cyano bacteria.

White Zone - The White zone is covered with cyano bacteria but with white barnacles.

Brown Zone - The Black Zone is covered with Rockweed and Knotted wrack. If they are boh together, it looks like a brown color.

Red Zone - The Red zone is covered with red Irish Moss.
