Regions – Hopkinton is located in Merrimack County which is in southern New Hampshire.  New Hampshire is part of New England which is found in the upper right corner of the United States.

 

Some regions in Hopkinton are Hopkinton Middle High School, Colonial Village Plaza and Contoocook.

 

 

Human/Environment Interaction – Some examples of how humans change the environment are: my dad cuts down trees to build houses, I recycle bottles at school, my sister Alison drives me to school in the car

 

Some examples of how the environment changes humans are: some times the weather changes sports schedules, I am not happy when there is thunder and lightning, we have to wear hats, mittens and coats in the winter.

 

 

Location – Hopkinton is located west of New Hampshire’s capital city Concord and northwest of Manchester.  Interstate 89 goes through the west end of Hopkinton.  Hopkinton is south of the White Mountains in Merrimack County.

 

Absolute Location – Latitude: 43 degrees 13.841 minutes North

                              Longitude: 71 degrees 43.120 minutes West

 

Place – Hopkinton has Gould Hill Apple Orchard with a beautiful view.  We also have the Contoocook River which has a couple of old covered bridges over it.  We have four seasons in Hopkinton; spring, summer, fall, winter.
