*Human/ Environment Interaction~ Here are some examples of how Humans Change the environment:  We build stone walls, we are clearing some trees, The town decided to build the Hopkinton Dam to prevent our town from flooding, and we recycle cans, glass and all paper products.  Here are some examples of how the environment changes humans:  Since the weather is usually cold and harsh in the winter, we need to buy snow tires for our car, we buy warm water proof clothes, and we can go skiing, snowboarding and skating the winter.

*Region~ There are many regions in Hopkinton even though you don’t realize it! Just a few are Contoocook, Colonial plaza, Elm Brook Park, and Our family property.  Hopkinton is also a part of many regions such as New Hampshire, Merrimac county, the United States, and New England.

Place~ New Hampshire is known for its covered bridges.  It has lots of white birch trees which is the state tree.  IN my back yard we have a tree which is a Maple pine!  The trees grew up next to each other so closely that it formed one tree; one half maple leaves the other half pine!!  Hopkinton is known for the Contoocook river also, which runs through lots of other towns in New Hampshire to.  During the fall many tourists come here to view the beautiful colors of the turning leaves.
