The Canary Islands are a huge group of islands and most of them have been formed out of volcanoes... The reason the Columbus started in the canaries is because that he knew that it was the land that was most far out in the Pacific Ocean that they had ever known.
The Greater Antilles are the islands of Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The Greater Antilles are roughly under Florida, USA. Cuba looks a lot like a hot dog, Hispaniola looks a lot like a walnut… and Puerto Rico is roughly looking like a suite case. The Lesser and Antilles are a bunch of little islands that Make an arch from Puerto Rico, The arch goes the right and the arch9 ends around roughly South America. Montserrat is one of the Islands in the Lesser Antilles.
