Also named Confucius, taught that people should be polite, honest, brave, and wise. Children obey parents, everyone is to respect the elderly and obey countries rulers.

2. Why did many people flee to Taiwan from China in 1949?

The people were afraid of communists.

3. What 2 benefits do foreign-owned businesses expect from operating in China?

1. First, they can pay Chinese workers less than they pay workers in their own countries.
2. Second, companies in China have hundreds of millions of possable customers for their goods.
