Location-Mt Cardigan is Located at 43 degrees 38’50.02N and 71 degrees 54’53.49W. Mt Cardigan is located SE of The White Mountains and NW of the AMC Mt Cardigan Lodge.

Description-Mt cardigan is very steep and has some very different trees that we don’t have here in Hopkinton. For example, we don’t have very much Beech trees in Hopkinton. The top of Cardigan Mt is a very big bare rock Mt. and was very windy. Going up The Mountain, I noticed that there were a few bridges.

I learned that the Indians used to use the sap from the spruce tree as chewing gum. I even got to try some sap. I think that that was pretty cool. I also Learned that lichen is a type of fungus and plant and thy take the sunlight that the tree absorbs and uses it to survive.
