The location of Mt. Cardigan is 43º 38’58.32º N. 71º 54’51.67º W. Mt. Cardigan is in Alexandria, NH. It is right next to Firescrew Mt.
This picture is a of Welton Falls. It is of a giant rock with a big log on it.
Description Physical- At the top of the mountain it is bald. It is bald because at one point in the late 1800’s there was a fire on the top. The fire caused all of the soil to “slide” off so there are no trees on top. So it is bald. Also it is a flat rock top, also because of the fire. It is a very steep on the mountain.
Description Cultural- At the top of the mountain there is a fire tower. The fire tower is on the top of the mountain because there is a person on the mountain so there can be someone to watch all of the mountain for fire all the time. There all so many trails that you can take to get to the summit of the mountain. There are also a lot of ski trails for the people who come and ski. There is a lot of land that is not in use. There are a lot of bridges in the area.
What I have learned is that “spruce gum” is disgusting and it will stick to your teeth after a while. Another thing that I learned is that some trees are carnivorous and some are deciduous. Which means that some of the trees loose their leaver and some keep them all year-round.
