Cardigan
Mt. is in Alexandria NH. The latitude of cardigan is 43º38’57 N and
the longitude is 71º54’52.15 W.
Mt. Cardigan
is a different kind of mountain because its top was burnt off from a fire and now
it’s just bare rock. Mt. Cardigan
has a mountain right next to it named Fire Screw. People have made trails up and down the
mountain and build lodges and a fire tower.
Some physical characteristics of cardigan are that it is very cold and
windy on the top and is very steep up some trails like the Colt trail. The trees on cardigan start out as deciduous
trees but turn into short, coniferous trees as you go up. Some cultural characteristics are that there
are trails and bridges. Also people
built lodges and a tower on the mountain.
Something I learned at Mt. Cardigan
is that there are different zones on the mountain and as you go up the mountain
the trees get thinner and become coniferous.
