On thuresday the 17 we are going to Odiorne point in Portsmouth New Hampshire to look at the tide pools and the flooded forest and all of the little animals. I have been there before and kind of remember it but that was six years ago. There are lots of tide pool animals and things to pick up and look at. I think it will be lots of fun and cannot wait.

The four zones of the tides are black zone, white zone, brown zone, and red zone. The black zone is the black zone because it has black cyanobacteria. The white zone is the white zone because it has white barnicles covering the rocks. The brown zone is called the brown zone because the rocks have brown greenish knotted wrack and rockweed attached to them. The red zone is called the red zone because it has irish moss covering the rocks there.
