Montserrat is a small island in the Lesser Antilles. It is in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. This island is a possession of Great Britian. Not a lot of people live on this island anymore because they were either evacuated and/or because it is not safe to live in certain parts anymore. They were evacuated because of a volcano that errupted. The reason that they left the lslands or were evacuated is because peopel thought that the volcano was to dangerous for people to live on the island. This happened pretty much of percaution. Montserrat is a high island. The reason that Montserrat is a high island is because it is a volcanic island and it has a lot of high mountians.
