Greater Antilles - The Greater Antilles are the largest islands in the Caribbean region. There are four islands. The four islands are called Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. Cuba is the largest island and about 90 miles away from Florida. That is too far away to see across then Hispaniola is split between two counties, they are Haiti and Dominican Republic. Then what Puerto Rico looks like is a suit case because they say it is shaped like a square and Jamaica looks like a space invader because it was broken in half from a large and powerful Earth Quake.
Lesser Antilles – The Lesser Antilles are a great big line of islands that are very small going from about Puerto Rico down to about South America. The eastern most island in the Caribbean region is a part of the Lesser Antilles. The island is called Barbados. In the Lesser Antilles is and island called Montserrat. Montserrat has a volcano that is active. How fascinating. Another island group that is in the Lesser Antilles is the Cayman Islands. Another island in the Lesser Antilles is called Barbados.
Bahamas – The Bahamas are a bunch of islands that are north to the Greater Antilles but east to Florida. They say that from above flying over them they look like a bunch of letters of the alphabet. U’s O’s L’s and more. UPPERCASE And lowercase.
