Montserrat is part of the caribbean region. It still has an active vocano what gives you an idea that it is a high land island. It's activated enough for volcanologist to study it. Boy that would be cool but risky for your life. That volcano is still is called the Soufriere volcano and it is the only volcano on Montserrat. The volcano wasn't very active until 1995. That is the year that it had major eruptions. At one point the lava raced down the volcanoat nearly 100 miles an hour clearing anything in it's path like trees. I bet nobody wanted to be on the island during that time. Did you hear that the capital Plymouth was abandoned and then burried with mud from the volcano. That happened because the capital was neaarly next to it. Let's not forget that Montserrat is in the caribbean region.
