Middle School Scholar Leader Awards

Two of our 8th grade students have been honored for their outstanding attitude, effort, and service toward our school community.  Together with the New Hampshire Association for Middle Level Education and the New England League of Middle Schools, our middle school staff have recognized Megan Hemmerlein and Matthew French as our Scholar Leader Award Recipients.

Middle schools across the state identify two of their outstanding students who demonstrate the characteristics that exemplify their school ideals.  While this was a challenging task, our team of teachers has identified Megan and Matthew as those students.

All of New Hampshire’s Scholar Leaders were honored together at a dinner on June 3^rd, 2010 at the Center of New Hampshire (Radisson Hotel) in Manchester NH.  Parents and guests joined us for the celebration, along with appearences by Govenor John Lynch and the Education  Commissioner Virginia Barry.   I was honored to be involved with these two wonderful children who exemplify the best of what it means to be a Hopkinton Middle School Student.
