Harold Martin School The
Harold Martin School houses approximately 260 students in grades
Preschool-3, and its aim is to meet the needs of the young child.
The staff takes great pride in the family atmosphere of the school and
strives to strengthen the community and parent connections which
contribute to the excellent instructional program that is
offered. Recognizing that young children learn in a variety of
ways, the staff attempts to balance teacher directed and individualized
instruction.
Maple Street School The Maple
Street School houses approximately 250 students in grades 4-6.
Like the early childhood staff, teachers at Maple Street also vary
teaching strategies to accommodate the learning styles of all
children. The instructional program is enhanced through many
special events and activities. Included among these are Odyssey
of the Mind, concerts given by the band and the chorus, the Second Step
program, Arts and Science Day, student council, and the Peer Outreach
program.
Hopkinton Middle/High School Hopkinton
Middle/High School enrolls approximately 520 students in grades
7-12. The Middle School
maintains a separate identity by organizing instruction for the 7th and
8th graders in teaching teams. Block scheduling is used at grades
9-12. The school system offers a predominantly college
preparatory curriculum since 80%-85% of the graduates continue their
education beyond high school. Advanced placement courses are
offered in science, math, and foreign languages. SAT scores
exceed state and national averages, and college acceptances are
impressive. Additionally, comprehensive, sequential courses in
life skills and business education are provided. Students
participate in a range of outstanding extra-curricular and
co-curricular activities. The size of the school allows many
students to participate who otherwise might not do so.
