IN ATTENDANCE:

School Board: Vice Chairman: Elizabeth Durant, Larry Donahue, William Jones

Administration: Superintendent: Steven Chamberlin, Business Administrator: Michelle Clark

CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Ms. Durant called the meeting to order at 7:30am; Mr. Jones led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PUBLIC COMMENT (1):

COMMENTS FROM THE HOPKINTON SCHOOL BOARD

Mr. Donahue inquired about dog searches at the middle high school. Mr. Chamberlin stated that he would bring an update to the board.

3.  Items for Board Discussion

  1. a. The Harold Martin School Playground Bid  (Action Item)

Mr. Chamberlin gave an overview of the playground bids opened on Wednesday, October 20. He stated that the bid has been awarded to New Yard Landscaping. Mr. Chamberlin made several reference checks and they have all been extremely favorable – New Yard Landscaping is highly recommended. This is for Phase One of the bid only.

11/16/10 – School Board Meeting, MSS cafeteria

11/24 – 11/26 – Thanksgiving Recess

ACTION ITEMS

 

9. The Hopkinton School Board accept the Superintendent’s recommendation to award the Harold Martin School Playground (Phase One) site work bid to New Yard Landscaping at a cost not to exceed $3800.

A motion was made by Mr. Donahue, seconded by Mr. Jones, motion carries, all in favor, not opposed.

10. Adjournment

At 7:36am a motion was made by Mr. Donahue and seconded by Mr. Jones to adjourn the meeting.
