Mr. Chamberlin outlined the Governor’s proposed budget and its potential effect. He stated that this is the first step of a six-step process. The following four components were discussed.

Adequacy: $13,194

Catastrophic Aid: $2,324

School Building Aid: $56,000

Retirement Subsidy: $395,000

Mr. Chamberlin discussed his memorandum dated February 24, 2011, with the board, outlining four different scenarios/levels of budget cuts.

Mr. Luneau stated another element that comes into play is our health insurance premium, which does not get set until March 3. He stated that if the premium comes in under GMR, it could address some of the shortfall.
