IN ATTENDANCE:
School Board: Chairman: David Luneau, Vice Chairman: Elizabeth Durant, Kim Fuller, Louis Josephson (arrived at 7:36am), Larry Donahue, Student Representatives: Emma Brown, Noah Meister (absent)

CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
School Board Chairman, David Luneau, called the meeting to order at 7:30am. HESS Co-President Deni Putnam, led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance.

COMMENTS FROM THE HOPKINTON SCHOOL BOARD (1)
Mr. Luneau thanked everyone for the enormous amount of work on the Collective Bargaining Agreements. He stated that it has not been an easy year and he appreciates the effort from both teams.
ACTION ITEMS
Recommend the Hopkinton School Board ratify the Collective Bargaining Agreement
between the Hopkinton School District and Hopkinton Educational Association (HEA) for the period of July 1, 2010 to midnight, June 30, 2012.
A motion was made by Mr. Donahue, seconded by Ms. Durant, motion carries, all in favor, not opposed.
Recommend the Hopkinton School Board ratify the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Hopkinton School District and Hopkinton Educational Support Staff (HESS) for the period of July 1, 2010 to midnight June 30, 2011.
A motion was made by Mr. Donahue, seconded by Ms. Durant, motion carries, all in favor, not opposed.
At this time, members of the Hopkinton School Board, HESS, and HEA signed Collective Bargaining Agreements.
COMMENTS FROM THE HOPKINTON SCHOOL BOARD (2)
Ms. Durant thanked everyone for all their efforts. Mr. Luneau echoed Ms. Durant’s comment. They both thanked Michelle and Steve for the tremendous amount of time and commitment put into the Collective Bargaining Agreements. Mr. Luneau also thanked Ms. Durant and Mrs. Fuller for their time and guidance.
Mrs. Fuller thanked Michelle and Steve, adding that they are an incredible team.
Mr. Luneau stated that the Board must begin getting information out to the public on the Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Mrs. Fuller made note for the record that the Villager Newspaper headline is incorrect: the budget is up 0.16% not 16%.
Mr. Donahue asked that the cost of the contracts be recorded.
Mr. Chamberlin stated that the HEA is a 2-year contract. the cost for 2010-2011 is $61,209.38 – and the HESS was approved at the Special School District Meeting in October: the cost for 2010-2011 is $2,259.33.
Mr. Chamberlin stated that the most important thing now is to begin educating the public about the contracts.
