English for Speakers of Other Languages

In the Hopkinton School District, we are committed to providing a high-quality, future-driven education for all students in our community. The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program is designed to ensure that multilingual learners grow both culturally and linguistically so they may become independent in academic, social, and vocational settings. Students are immersed in all domains of language, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also receiving support to adapt to and understand American culture, all while maintaining and celebrating their unique cultural heritage.

To make this vision a reality, the Hopkinton School District has developed a Lau Plan and other guiding documents that provide a comprehensive framework of supports and resources. These ensure that culturally and linguistically diverse students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Please feel encouraged to reach out to our Director of Student Services, Mandie Hibbard, or ESOL Teacher, Kelly Conley, if you have questions or concerns.
